WILL FUTCH, Member of North Carolina's SkipSations! Jump Rope Team in Chapel Hill, was awarded the prestigious Joel Ferrell Award for excellence in the sport of Jump Rope at the 2007 AAU Jr. Olympic Games held in Knoxville, TN.

SkipSations! to Host 2008 NC AAU Qualifier on March 8 in Chapel Hill, NC The SkipSations! Jump Rope Team will host this year's Qualifying Tournament on March 8th at Fetzer Gym on UNC's Campus in Chapel Hill. The Tournament is an Open Tournament, competitors from any state may participate. Participant results are a combination of Speed, Power and Freestyle events. The Top 10 Athletes in each age group in Male Singles, Female Singles, Pairs and Double Dutch will qualify to proceed to the AAU Jr. Olympic Games to be held in Detroit, MI in late July. Age Groups for the tournament include: 8-under, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13-14, 15-17, 18-22. Individual events include Male and Female Divisions; Pairs and Double Dutch events are mixed. Competitors, Coaches and Judges must be current members of AAU (membership available at www.aausports.org).
