NC AAU is now forming Men's Basketball Leagues all over the state

We need clubs to host these leagues!

We are looking for host clubs to run our new Men's Leagues in your town.  These will be officially licensed AAU Mens Events with a Regional Championship to be held in early June.

This could be a fund raiser for your club.

 

Men's League: Sean Kilmartin Commissioner

League run in cities with existing clubs and may contact local parks and Rec leagues :

* All players and bench personnel; league administrators and referees must get Adult AAU membership

* All players may register under AAU Men's Basketball Club (number tbd) Club fee paid by NC AAU)

* HS rules (with exceptions TBD)

* NC AAU will acquire the league license and pay those fees

* Director of League will report all scores and results with me weekly (and retain results for 6 months)

Club runs league, retains all revenue.

Club / League charge and collect payment for each team

Club may choose to run it in bracket format or just round robbin format (no championship game)

Club may choose to run two divisions (Pro/Rec) or (open and  40+)

Club / league may charge admission (if it chooses)

Season will run from December through June, club may choose timing/days and number of “leagues”

Club / league may create two divisions based on needs (open and recreational)

Seeding / Points System:

4 game minimum, open division.

Points awarded as follows:

1 point per game played

1 additional  point per game Won

Maximum seed points is 40 per season.

All points will go to seeding for Southeast AAU Men’s Championship bracket. Finals to be held in Charlotte on June 14 & 15.

Finals will be 2 game minimum guarantees. Medals awarded to 1, 2, 3 place. (cost $185)

Any club that is interested will need to e mail me with club name and AAU number, the name and AAU number of the person running the league (and their cell phone number) the gyms you intend to use and when you would like to run your league(s)
