After graduation from Appalachian St. University, Greensboro native Sean played basketball in England. After returning home with a wife (Jane), he began a family, and a career in finance. He owns R.M. Stark & Co., Inc., an investment and wealth management firm.

Sean began in the AAU when his two little boys began competing in Tae Kwon Do. The next year he began coaching basketball as well. He is the NC Governor. He presently serves as the chair of the AAU National Finance Committee, member of the AAU Board of Directors, and the AAU National Audit Committee. Sean serves as a National Championship Basketball Commissioner.

Sean has been awarded the AAU President National Leadership Award on multiple occasions, the NC AAU Volunteer of the Year Award, the AAU Boys Basketball Volunteer of the Year award, and numerous honors in his professional capacity.

As Governor he aggressively promotes new sports and activities for AAU Members both in NC and across the U.S
