NCAAU inducts 8 into Hall of Fame in 2018

Eight new inductees were honored by the NCAAU Hall of Fame at a
dinner and ceremony in Greensboro on Feb 21st. 

Honorees included:  William Hawkins of Henderson( powerlifting)
Jessica Harris, from Denver NC (gymnastics)
Jane Kilmartin and Sean Kilmartin of Charlotte ( Volunteers)
Talise Morris, Raleigh (volunteer)
David West, Raleigh (basketball)
Dwayne West , Raleigh ( volunteer). 

In addition, the Hall inducted its first contributor organization. The Greensboro Area Convention and Visitors Bureau was recognized for ten years of support and assistance to the NCAAU.

A total of 19 have now entered the Hall.

Hall of Fame members can be selected as Athletes, Volunteers or Contributing Organizations.  Athletes must have been a member of the AAU for at least 3 years, and must have participated in AAU events with high achievements. They must have continued in the sport at a high level after high school.  Volunteers must have been AAU members for at least 10 years and must have made outstanding contributions to the AAU. Contributors must have provided consistent outstanding support to the AAU for a minimum of 10 years.  Selections are not an annual event, but are made from time to time as determined by the selection committee.
